Many doctors now prescribe massage therapy to relieve
symptoms of headache, facial pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ
(temporomandibular joint dysfunction), asthma, arthritis, bursitis,
stress, and athletic injuries such as strains and sprains. Unlike
drug therapy, which has side effects, massage therapy is relatively
safe.
Swedish massage is a relaxation and therapeutic treatment,
usually full-body, except in areas that are contraindicated.
You lie on a massage table and are draped with a sheet, enjoying
the environmental atmosphere and music. Each session can last
over 1 hour. Oxygen and hydrotherapies are used to complement
treatments.
